THE FULL STORY
The Society was organized in 1950, under the name Tuscarawas Society for Crippled Children & Adults. Relying on dedicated volunteers, the society tried to fill the gaps existing in community services by providing a diversified range of services.

Although the society was associated with Easter Seals since its beginning, they did not begin using the name until 1981, when they became known as the Tuscarawas Easter Seal Society.
​
In September 1992, the local charity found it necessary to leave the Easter Seal umbrella to enable them to continue their mission serving the people of Tuscarawas County. The Tuscarawas Society for Children & Adults will continue to provide direct aid to county residents through their unique programs and services.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
This Society is comprised of a dedicated, volunteer Board of Directors. This unique group of individuals are neighbors and friends who are committed to making a difference in the lives of disadvantaged and disabled children and adults in Tuscarawas County.
